Good Work
The app is well constructed as far as music pedagogy and higher order thinking skills are concerned. There are a few things to address before I, as a music educator, can give it 5 stars.
1st some of the piano playing exercises arent working. There are no sounds when you press the keys, and the app does not think you are playing in tempo.
2nd: It needs the ability to speed up the metronome for higher level exercises.
3rd: It needs the ability to turn the subdivided beat. Especially after the lesson addressing beat and pulse. Fix those things, and I give it 5 stars, especially since I paid money for the app.
4th: It needs the ability to choose treble clef or bass clef only exercises. Just as one of the lessons states not every one will have to play the piano. So in order to streamline a lesson for a group of students playing treble clef instruments I would like to be able to focus only on treble clef note reading. At least for the playing exercises that is.
That being said, it still gives a good baseline for presenting elementary theory to young students, and I still plan to use it with my beginning band students.
